This is the second time we are publishing the report on the domestic corporate event market, so this year’s data not only shows the current overview but also the structural transformation of the market area and the changes in economic trends.
The analysis was based on 1,421 B2B event requests received on our venue search platforms (cegeshelyszinek.hu, micehungary.com, rendezvenyhelyszinek.hu, rendezveny.com, konferenciahotelek.hu). The report addresses the most important questions of corporate events: Who is the typical customer, which sector do the requests come from, what is the average basket value, where in the country are these companies located?
Some exciting facts from the report:
- The duration of corporate events has been significantly shortened compared to 2024, with more than 50% of events being limited to one-day events.
- The number of workshops and training courses has decreased, and instead, companies have spent more on informal team building programs and year-end company dinners and parties in 2025.
- The total cost of events has decreased minimally, but the cost per person has increased, ranging between HUF 30,000 and HUF 50,000 for nearly 40% of events, while in one-third of events it amounted to an amount between HUF 50,000 and HUF 70,000.
- The industry composition of customers clearly reflects the economic situation: the automotive and construction industries have declined significantly compared to 2024, while more than 10% more requests have been received from the financial sector and the energy sector.
- The typical customer in 2025 is the Budapest SME, which plans a half- or one-day event for 21-40 people with a budget of 1 million forints, typically at a Budapest location.
- Three hotels on Lake Balaton were also represented in the top 10 most popular locations in 2025.
- In terms of seasonality, the year 2025 brought a strengthening of the spring period. Compared to 2024, many more team builders and conferences were held in the spring. The peak season for team builders was May and September, while the end-of-year parties took place between the last weekend of November and December 15.
