HotelPremio Group wins the Hungarian tender of the Turkish Tourism Board

2024, Feb 21 | Corporate news, PR and communication

The HotelPremio Group has won the PR tender for GoTurkiye (GTA), the Turkish Tourism Office, securing the 2024 tourism PR contract for Hungary. The role encompasses traditional PR and marketing responsibilities as well as event management for numerous cultural occasions marking Turkey’s centenary and the 100th anniversary of Turkish-Hungarian diplomatic relations.

This strategic contract will have HotelPremio Group’s team overseeing GTA’s PR activities in Hungary, as part of a larger initiative operating in over 80 countries worldwide. In addition to the typical press and marketing communications, the assignment includes organizing various events to support the year-long cultural exchange commemorating these historical milestones. The Group’s extensive expertise in event management and strong understanding of the local market contributed significantly to its selection for the tender.

Established in 2019 by Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, GoTurkiye aims to promote Turkey as a prime travel destination and to enhance the global awareness of Turkey’s diverse regions. As of 2022, Turkey ranked as the fourth most popular travel destination globally, driven by the TGA’s extensive outreach across 81 cities and seven regions. Operating in 10 languages, its initiatives target both individual travelers and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) industry.

“GoTurkiye is a highly recognized and respected organization in the tourism sector, so we are incredibly proud to have been selected for this project. We are especially pleased to leverage our group’s event management expertise, with over 40 events planned under this assignment,” says Róbert Révész, co-owner of HotelPremio Group and head of the PR division (Premio PR). The four-member communications team, led by Révész, will handle the project, with Eszter Szász, former editor-in-chief of Dining Guide, joining as a press coordinator in January 2024.

HotelPremio Group, with over 15 years in the event industry, operates leading venue-finder platforms and manages over 1,100 events annually across sites such as rendezvenyhelyszinek.hu, micehungary.com, cegeshelyszinek.hu, szallodak.hu, rendezveny.com, and konferenciahotelek.hu. Responding to new industry demands, the group expanded into international MICE and PR services in 2023, with Révész spearheading this new division. Among their clients are major international hotel chains, including SAVA Hotels & Resorts, Liburnia Hotels & Villas, and several Kempinski properties, as well as numerous tourism regions within and beyond Hungary.
