Slovenian Workshop 2026 in Budapest
In 2026, HotelPremio Group was once again commissioned by the Slovenian Tourist Board to organize the Slovenian Workshop in Budapest in its entirety. This year’s event generated greater professional interest than ever before: a record 38 Slovenian partners travelled to Budapest to personally present their offerings to representatives of the Hungarian travel industry, while nearly 70 Hungarian tour operators registered for the event.
This year, the event was hosted at Paprika Revue Ház, which provided a unique and atmospheric venue for the professional meeting. Among the 38 Slovenian partners were several providers presenting their products and services to representatives of Hungarian travel agencies for the first time. The event therefore offered an excellent opportunity to establish new business relationships and further strengthen cooperation between the two markets.
The professional programme was opened with a welcome address by Anžej Frangeš, Ambassador of Slovenia to Hungary, who highlighted the importance of the Hungarian market to Slovenian tourism. He noted that Hungarian guests play a particularly important role on the Slovenian coast: among foreign tourists, Hungarians represent the largest share, clearly demonstrating the importance of tourism relations between the two countries and explaining the strong interest in the workshop among Slovenian service providers.
Following this, Aleksandra Lipej, representing the Slovenian Tourist Board, continued the programme. She set the tone for the professional event with a beautiful video showcasing Slovenia’s diverse tourism offering, after which the personal B2B meetings began. Hungarian travel professionals then had the opportunity to meet directly with Slovenian partners and learn first-hand about their latest developments, services and tourism offerings.
A special feature of the 2026 event was that several Slovenian service providers were participating for the first time and had never previously met representatives of the Hungarian travel industry in person. The face-to-face meetings and B2B discussions therefore created opportunities for establishing new partnerships and further strengthening Hungarian–Slovenian tourism relations.
Following the workshop, the professional programme continued with a special evening dinner and a spectacular show. The gastronomic experiences and unique entertainment programme provided a fitting conclusion to the day, while also giving participants the opportunity to continue the professional discussions and networking they had begun during the day in a more informal setting.
The 2026 Slovenian Workshop was thus realized as a comprehensive professional and experiential programme, simultaneously providing opportunities for business networking, discovering new tourism products and sharing memorable experiences.
The event was implemented through close and coordinated cooperation between the Slovenian Tourist Board and HotelPremio Group. Working closely with Jelena Počuca in coordinating the participation of Slovenian service providers and partners, we worked to ensure that the 2026 workshop would be a successful and valuable meeting point for the Slovenian and Hungarian tourism industries.
The HotelPremio Group PR team was involved in the full-scale organization of the event: from developing the concept and securing the venue, through inviting Hungarian professional partners and coordinating the B2B meetings, to on-site execution and communications. Thanks to our close cooperation with the Slovenian Tourist Board and Jelena Počuca, we jointly created an event that simultaneously supported professional networking, showcased Slovenia’s tourism offering and created new business opportunities.
We hope to continue this successful cooperation next year and jointly further strengthen tourism relations between Slovenia and Hungary, involve new partners and create even more inspiring opportunities for tourism professionals from the two countries to meet.
The participation of 38 Slovenian partners and nearly 70 Hungarian registrants clearly demonstrates the strong professional interest in the Slovenian Workshop in Budapest. The 2026 event once again served as an important meeting point for tourism professionals from the two countries, while new products, new partners and new business opportunities were introduced to the Hungarian market.
