Three Days, 40,000 Steps and Countless Culinary Delights in Slovenia
At the invitation of the Slovenian Convention Bureau, the PR team of HotelPremio Group organized a special three-day familiarization trip to Slovenia, focused on coordinating future MICE events.
Joined by our partners, who specialize in MICE event organization and travel, we embarked on an inspiring journey across Slovenia, strengthening international ties while opening new doors for our Hungarian clients.
The trip was made possible with the support of the Slovenian Tourist Board, the Slovenian Convention Bureau (led by Fredi Fonanot), and the active collaboration of local tourism boards – Visit Maribor (Doroteja Mauko), Visit Ljubljana(Jure Galicic), and the Portorož-Piran region (Polona Zigo). A key highlight was the opportunity to explore future MICE events and collaborations, coordinated by Fredi Fonanot from the Slovenian Convention Bureau.
Over the course of the three days, we explored various cities in Slovenia, starting with Maribor, where the festive atmosphere of the Christmas market and a delightful brunch at Kavarna Nana set the tone for our experience. After a wine tasting at the world’s oldest grapevine, we traveled to Ljubljana, where we visited two extraordinary event venues. The Cukrarna, a gallery and exhibition space, blends modern industrial and loft styles, creating a unique atmosphere, while the Center Rog is a contemporary art hub hosting workshops in crafts, cooking, painting, and more.
The day concluded with a Michelin Guide-recommended lunch at Na Gradu, where we experienced the pinnacle of Slovenian gastronomy. Over the three days, we walked more than 40,000 steps, discovering historic city centers and indulging in local culinary delights. The coastal charm of Portorož and Piran was the perfect finale, with memorable visits to the Fonda Fish Farm and Lisjak Olive Oil producer.
