When SLOVAKIA.TRAVEL entrusted the HotelPremio PR team with organizing its B2B tourism event for the second time, we knew that it wasn’t enough to create a “good” workshop – we had to create an experience that would become a benchmark for the industry.

The choice of venue was no coincidence either. Timisoara, the European Capital of Culture for 2023, provided the ideal backdrop for Slovak tourism to reconnect with the Romanian market. The roof terrace of Hotel Timisoara New Horizon – previously a closed, private venue – was opened to a professional audience for the first time.

The event was attended by nearly 30 travel agencies, influencers, and journalists. After a morning networking session, Lubos Curma (SLOVAKIA.TRAVEL – Bratislava) and Sona Jelinkova (Budapest office) opened the program, followed by Lucia Blaskova, director of the High Tatras Region, who presented the region’s diverse offerings.

In the workshop section, 15 Slovak tourism service providers and regions had the opportunity to introduce themselves to Romanian market decision-makers. The atmosphere was inspiring, and the discussions led to new collaborations right there on the spot.

The VisitTimisoara team also contributed to the success by assisting with the event as our local partners – a perfect example of how we build international B2B relationships that go beyond a single event.

The project proved that a well-structured PR event not only generates news value but also business results.
