Kultúrvágány Artists’ Camp at Boutique Hotel Annuska again in spring
This spring, for the third time, we will once again host the Kultúrvágány artist residency at Boutique Hotel Annuska in Balatonfüred.
In March 2025, the creators of the Kultúrvágány artist residency will gather for the third time to spend a week working together and sharing their experiences.
A special highlight of this year’s Kultúrvágány is the participation of Hungarian artists from beyond the borders, particularly from Transylvania. Among them is Enikő Daczó, a visual artist from Kézdivásárhely, whose works—whether installations, paintings, or performances—consistently explore themes of creation and decay. Her works have already been exhibited at several shows in Hungary. Other invited cross-border artists include Levente Albert from Sepsiszentgyörgy and Mátyás Sárosi from Kézdivásárhely, both graphic artists and painters.
This spring, the artist residency—previously dominated by painters—will also welcome three sculptors: András Csaba Nemes, Nóra Szirmai, and János Dorogi, whose public works can be found in Mór, Nagykálló, Nyíregyháza, and even Taiwan.
Among the contemporary artists invited to this year’s Kultúrvágány is also painter Rita Varga, whose work is based on photographic techniques. Her repertoire includes various media such as conceptual photography, video art, and installations. Another featured contemporary artist is painter Bálint Miksa, whose works are created using a unique, organically evolving image-making method he developed.
We are honored to once again welcome painter Tibor Iski Kocsis, a member of the younger generation of artists who openly and boldly address global social issues. His work skillfully combines traditional painting techniques with modern photorealistic elements.
Naturally, we will also be joined by Márton Romvári, painter and co-organizer of the Kultúrvágány artist residency, who, together with fellow organizer Gyöngyi Nagy, ensures that the participating artists leave Balatonfüred enriched with fresh inspiration.
As always, the residency will conclude with a special exhibition organized by the founders of Kultúrvágány from March 22-29, showcasing the works created during the week-long collaboration. The artists will be hosted by HotelPremio Group at Boutique Hotel Annuska in Balatonfüred, providing an inspiring space for creative exchanges and discussions.
