Once again, the HotelPremio Group was entrusted by the Slovenian Tourist Board with the full organization of the Slovenian Workshop in Budapest. The event took place on 18 September in the prestigious Gerbeaud Café, which provided an elegant setting for the professional gathering.

The workshop attracted unprecedented interest: a record number of 32 Slovenian exhibitors and more than 70 Hungarian industry partners attended, including travel agencies, MICE professionals and B2B decision-makers. Visitor numbers from Hungary also continued to grow – in the first seven months of 2025, arrivals increased by 12.7% compared to the previous year, while the number of overnight stays exceeded 286,000, making Hungary the 6th most important source market for Slovenia.

The event was officially opened by Anže Frangeš, the newly appointed Slovenian Ambassador to Hungary, who has been in office for only one month. In the professional programme, Živa Vincetič presented Slovenia’s latest tourism developments and sustainable offerings, while Jelena Počuca shared the most recent tourism statistics with the participants.

The workshop offered not only professional programmes but also memorable experiences. The day began with a coffee break combined with a dessert tasting, where guests sampled three iconic cakes: the traditional Slovenian potica, the classic Hungarian zserbó (Gerbeaud slice), and the kremšnita (Hungarian: krémes), symbolizing the shared culinary heritage of the two nations. Later, the atmosphere was further enhanced by an exciting raffle with valuable prizes, and the event concluded with a joint dinner accompanied by a selection of Slovenian wines.

The HotelPremio Group’s PR team was responsible for the full organization of the workshop: from concept development and inviting Hungarian partners to coordinating the B2B meetings, as well as managing on-site logistics and communications. Our aim was to provide both Slovenian and Hungarian participants with a professional, inspiring and successful event.

The Budapest workshop once again confirmed that Slovenia – the “Green Heart of Europe” – is not only a sustainable, but also an increasingly attractive destination with a strong and growing presence on the Hungarian market.
