Slovenian Workshop 2024: Record number of exhibitors and participants
On September 25, the Kozmo Hotel Suites & Spa in Budapest hosted the Slovenian Workshop, organized by the PR team of HotelPremio Group. This annual event has solidified its position as a premier B2B tourism event in the industry’s calendar.
The workshop aimed to bring together representatives of travel organizers and agencies with Slovenia’s leading tourism providers, helping to strengthen and establish new foundations for business partnerships.
This year’s workshop saw a record-breaking turnout, with over 40 participants, including numerous Hungarian travel professionals and 28 Slovenian exhibitors. Throughout the afternoon, attendees participated in personal meetings and presentations that showcased Slovenia’s diverse tourism offerings, including insights from Slovenian Tourist Board, Ljubljana Tourism, Bled Tourism, and LifeClass Hotels & Spa.
Marjan Cencic, Slovenia’s Ambassador to Hungary, opened the 2024 B2B workshop, welcoming Slovenian and Hungarian professionals and highlighting the year-on-year growth in tourism between the two countries, with this year expected to set new records. His remarks were followed by an engaging and comprehensive presentation by Karmen Novarlic, head of B2B communications at the Slovenian Tourist Board, who introduced Slovenia’s diverse tourism offerings.
The workshop concluded with a lively prize draw, giving nearly a dozen lucky Hungarian professionals the chance to experience firsthand the offerings of various Slovenian providers. Attendees then gathered for a group photo on Hungary’s second-longest staircase, followed by a dinner with the service providers, where guests enjoyed a selection of fine Slovenian red and white wines.
This year’s Slovenian Workshop broke records in both participant and exhibitor attendance, underscoring the growing interest in Slovenia among Hungarian travel organizers. The success of the event reaffirmed that Slovenia’s tourism providers continue to hold substantial appeal in international markets.
