Hotel Habakuk 4★ by 1912Hotels in the spotlight in Budapest

2025, Aug 11 | Hotel management, PR and communication

The client base of the Premio PR team – and thus the offering of the Hotelpremio Group – has grown with the addition of a Slovenian 4-star property operated by the German-founded hotel management company: the newly renovated Hotel Habakuk.

Hotel Habakuk 4★ was officially presented to Hungarian influencers, journalists, and industry professionals. Traveling from Maribor, Nika Gabor and Matic Drozg Petrovič introduced the hotel. The three-part event series focused on the property’s MICE and leisure services, which participants discovered at the Hotel President.

Two days, three professional events, and nearly seventy invited guests – including journalists, travel agencies, and corporate travel and event organizers – took part in the programs. The events showcased not only a new hotel, but also a new brand and an attractive nearby destination: Maribor. Representing the city were Nataša Jančar and Doroteja Mauko, who personally introduced Maribor’s highlights to the guests.

The Hotel Habakuk 4★ by 1912Hotels – a fully renovated, modern wellness hotel at the foot of the Pohorje Mountains, just a three-hour drive from Budapest – offers premium services to its guests. During the program, participants were invited to taste the hotel’s “house champagne,” selected wines, and the famous Slovenian dessert, potica.

Guests also had the opportunity to meet the hotel’s new operator, 1912Hotels. Sales Director Petra Zierer presented this dynamically expanding, newly founded German hotel management company, which is welcoming new hotels to its portfolio almost daily across the region (currently Slovenia, Hungary, and Austria) and beyond, including the United Kingdom. From the Sales Director, we learned that by the end of 2025, the company aims to take over the management of nearly 15 hotels. The events were hosted by the group’s Hungarian property, the well-known 4★ Hotel President in downtown Budapest, which joined the 1912Hotels portfolio on June 1, 2025.

Also in attendance was Visit Maribor, who presented the tourism developments, new attractions, and fully revitalized city center of Slovenia’s second-largest city. The unique appeal of the “15-minute city” concept is highlighted by the fact that Maribor has been awarded the #BestGreenCapital2025 title, where cultural, natural, and gastronomic experiences are all within a 15-minute walk of each other.

With the addition of the Hotel Habakuk 4★, the number of Premio PR’s partners has further expanded with a nearby Slovenian destination that is ideal for both wellness getaways and corporate events – one of the most promising locations in the region. We are confident that this new collaboration will create long-term value for both our partners and clients, and we look forward to many of them experiencing the hotel’s services in person during upcoming press and professional study tours.
