FlyDubai Agent Business Breakfast at the Parisi Udvar Hotel

2024, Apr 5 | Event news, MICE news, PR and communication

The HotelPremio Group recently hosted FlyDubai’s professional and educational agent business breakfasts in an innovative format tailored to the busy schedules of travel professionals. Held in the historic Parisi Udvar Hotel, the events spanned three sessions, each offering presentations and discussions within a vibrant café atmosphere.

From February to April, travel industry professionals gathered monthly to hear Szép Andrea, FlyDubai’s country representative, share the latest news with around 50 travel agency partners. FlyDubai, operating daily flights to Budapest since summer 2022, has gradually transcended its “low-cost” label with the inclusion of 10 business-class seats per flight, each capable of reclining to a lie-flat position. Andrea also highlighted FlyDubai’s proprietary booking system, which greatly assists travel agents. Among the many attractive connections through Dubai, destinations like Krabi, Pattaya, the Maldives, Zanzibar, Colombo, and Kathmandu stood out as some of the best options.

Representatives from Budapest Airport, Bianka Pivarcsi and Nikoletta Tóth, contributed valuable tips to enhance travelers’ pre-departure airport experience. They shared insights into the airport’s growth, which now serves 130 destinations across 39 airlines for the summer schedule, and is on track to exceed the record 16.1 million passengers of 2019. Updates included parking improvements, with a new 600-space Terminal Parking, and details on the six airport lounges—two of which are in the non-Schengen zone. The exclusive BUD VIP lounge, where limousine transfers directly to the aircraft are available, and the “landside” conference facilities, featuring two adjoining meeting rooms for up to 30 people each, were also introduced.

The business breakfast continued with Kriszta Kovács, the local representative of the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing Department (DET), who shared an engaging overview of Dubai’s newest attractions. Highlights included the 60-meter-deep Deep Dive pool, the world’s tallest infinity pool at Aura Sky Pool, and the newly reopened Expo City, capturing the unmatched vibrancy of the ever-evolving city.

The morning concluded with a presentation by Mariann Kedves and Balázs Végh from RateHawk, a booking system operating across 85 countries since 2018, designed “by travel agents for travel agents”—underscoring the platform’s industry-focused approach.

Guests were also treated to a tour of the Parisi Udvar Hotel Budapest, exploring its storied history along with its MICE services, event spaces, and rentable presidential suites. The hotel, with over 300 m² of conference and event space, boasts four versatile meeting rooms and salons across two floors, able to host up to 160 guests, making it ideal for hosting elegant gatherings and special occasions right in the bustling heart of the city.
